Join the 1,461,677 supporters of the Stop Global Warming Virtual March, and become part of the movement to demand our leaders freeze and reduce carbon dioxide emissions now. We are all contributors to global warming and we all need to be part of the solution.

The Stop Global Warming Virtual March is a non-political effort to declare that global warming is here now and it’s time to act.
This is a movement about change, as individuals, as a country, and as a global community.

Jon Fishman

Jon Fishman Former drummer of Phish I am marching because it is clear that the planet is getting warmer and warmer. Human activity is primarily responsible for it and if we don’t do something to address it we will be in for progressively harder times worldwide. I would like to be among those who attempt to correct the problem rather than try to ignore it as so many of our current leaders and citizens do. The march will help create the necessary awareness to force the problem to be acknowledged by America’s political leaders who are in denial about global warming – Robert F. Kennedy Jr., refers to them as the “flat-earthers”. Like they say, admitting you have a problem is half the solution.>

Twenty years ago, I had the experience of standing in front of a glacier, whose face was at the waters edge, waiting for an overhanging chunk of ice to crash into the water. When I went back, 20 years later I saw the effects of global warming in this same location, if a chunk of ice fell off this time it wouldn’t make it to the water even if it rolled a couple hundred yards. Global warming is real; I have witnessed its effects.

I urge anyone who has doubts about the reality of global warming as a problem to please just spend a little time surfing the net on the issue and looking into the research that supports both the folks who say it’s happening and those who don’t. Look into the institutions that back the research on either side of the issue to see what their interests in the outcome of the data might be. As answers to your questions start to come to light, make an informed decision for yourself whether to join this march or not. You won’t have to spend much time scrutinizing data to see that global climate change is real.

This is truly a case of all being in the same boat together whether we like it or not. That’s why I’m joining the global warming virtual march!
