In 1899, Anton Chekhov wrote the following from his remarkable play “Uncle Vanya”: “Forests keep disappearing, rivers dry up, wild life’s become extinct, the climate’s ruined, and the land grows poorer and uglier every day.” Have we learned so very little in over one hundred years? It’s about time we start to wake up and save what’s left of our world. Don’t make me take time out of my busy tv and movie schedule to have to go off and do some repertory company’s production of “Uncle Vanya” just to get my point across… please?!?!>
