In January 2006, I saw Al Gore give his now-famous Power Point presentation on Global Warming, and it changed my life. Something in me woke up, and will not go back to sleep. In subsequent months, I discovered that a grassroots movement was being started to train 1000 people to go out and spread this message, trained by Mr. Gore personally in the Power Point presentation that is the centerpiece of his movie and book, “An Inconvenient Truth.” I signed up for the first training session in September 2006, and began a journey to change the world. In my opinion, we as individuals have immense power, we just find that fact hard to remember most of the time. So, I am taking Mahatma Ghandi at his word, and daring to be the change I want to see in the world. I am attempting to stand in the truth, however painful and ugly, and place my attention fully on the solution to this problem. It’s daunting and exhilarating and, yes, inconvenient. But a few years ago I began to look deeply into my heart and ask how I can be of service, here in this world. And I believe I’ve been given the answer to that question….please join me.
