Bronx River Alliance

The Bronx River Alliance has joined the Stop Global Warming Virtual March
for many reasons, but particularly because we are alarmed at the prospect of
rising sea levels and the impact that it would have on urban waterways.

The Bronx River Alliance acts as a coordinated voice for the Bronx River,
working with public and private partners to protect, improve and restore the
Bronx River corridor and greenway so that they can be healthy resources for
the Bronx communities through which the river flows. Established in 2001,
the Alliance works with its 80 partners, including community and youth
organizations, public agencies and businesses, to drive the effort to
restore the Bronx River, create a greenway along its length, and facilitate
the involvement of many community partners so the river and greenway truly
serve as community assets.
