Why We Are Marching

Gather was founded in conjunction with American Public Media Group with the
mission of bringing public radio listeners together in an online forum.
Since our launch in 2004, our audience has developed into an online
community filled with passionate, engaged, and intelligent citizens
connecting and organizing over shared goals and ideals. The virtual March on
Washington harnesses the passion and activism that have developed in this
new interactive medium, and Gather.com is at the forefront of their online
mobilization efforts. Stop Global Warming is responding to the concerns of
millions and turning those voices into a single, unified front that will
demand attention from our leaders and representatives in this fight to end
global warming. Gather is a space where those voices can connect and come
together to organize in this immeasurably crucial battle to save and protect
our planet.
