Join the 1,458,834 supporters of the Stop Global Warming Virtual March, and become part of the movement to demand our leaders freeze and reduce carbon dioxide emissions now. We are all contributors to global warming and we all need to be part of the solution.

The Stop Global Warming Virtual March is a non-political effort to declare that global warming is here now and it’s time to act.
This is a movement about change, as individuals, as a country, and as a global community.

Kiehl’s

At Kiehl’s we are committed to the preservation of the environment through efforts which help to nurture Mother Nature. We are proud to join the Virtual March against Global Warming!

Here are some of the steps we have taken to “green up” Kiehl’s. We have signed up for green energy programs for our stores that ensure our energy usage comes from renewable energy sources. On average, each of our free-standing stores uses about 45,000 kilowatt hours of power every year. The effects of switching to 100% renewable energy for each store equals:

- 3,500 trees saved
- 30 tons of greenhouse gasses (usually produced from the burning of coal or oil) not being released into the atmosphere
- 40,000 miles not driven

Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) directly support the development of green energy sources to prove that electricity has been generated by a renewable source of power. The purchase of RECs guarantees that green energy equivalent to the amount of energy we use in our stores will be generated every month. We have purchased RECs from Green Mountain Energy stores in locations where there is no green power program with the local utility company.

Kiehl’s uses recyclable materials in our packaging and encourage our patrons to return their Kiehl’s “empties” to us for recycling. We print labels and materials with soy inks, when we can and we help to preserve and restore our oceans, parks and outdoor spaces through initiatives and sponsorships in service of our communities.

From April 22nd, you can also visit www.clickforGreenland.com > , a new initiative from Kiehl’s that helps raise awareness of the impact of global warming on Greenland. Kiehl’s will donate $0.25 to the Natural Resources Defense Council on behalf of each of the first 500,000 visitors to the site.

We are honored to working alongside our customers and in our communities to preserve and protect the precious, life-sustaining environment. For more information, please visit www.kiehls.com.
