mtvU
- Location: NY
- Marching Since: September 07, 2005
mtvU is giving college students the chance to help save the world – from the comfort of their dorms. College students have always led the charge on issues ranging from genocide in the Sudan to civil rights at home. Now, Stop Global Warming is asking them to take the lead on a problem of worldwide significance: the destruction of the planet. Whether it be wildfires in California or melting glaciers in Antarctica, mankind’s impact on the environment is becoming more visible every day. The virtual March on Washington is mobilizing Americans across the country to raise awareness of the crisis, take action and pressure our leaders into doing more, and already national figures like Senator John McCain to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. have signed on. But today’s college students are the ones who will really have to confront global warming’s dire consequences. Better get marching.
