To help stop global warming we all have to embrace the objective to reduce, reuse, and recycle. I was taught early on that nothing gets wasted. All >Mugwump items are designed and created using reclaimed/recycled materials found in thrift shops, yard sales and “the bins,” which is the last stop before being hauled off to the landfill. These materials are no longer wanted or useful for their primary purpose. They are given a renewed life — as wallets, bags, totes, etc — altered from their original intent. Each one is unique and sometimes gently worn.
I’ve used placemats, window awnings, shower curtains, lawn chair webbing, and the list goes on. I started a line of wallets from kitchen contact paper, air mattresses, and discarded classroom wallmaps. My latest have been pouches from discarded children’s books from school libraries. There’s plenty out there to use and I shan’t run out of materials anytime soon. Recyling and reusing discarded materials helps reduce the amount of C02 released into the atmosphere and help stop global warming.
Save the Earth, and look good doing it!
