Global warming is a huge threat to our oceans. It directly threatens both shallow and deep-sea corals, and it will certainly cause huge disruptions to marine ecosystems, just as it does on land. We are already seeing the warning signs, with rivers that are becoming too hot for salmon, seabirds starving from lack of food, and tropical fish appearing in places they’ve never been seen before.
