Project Kool
- Location: NY
- Marching Since: January 05, 2008
When our eleven year-old came home from school expressing his genuine concern about Global Warming, we had a family discussion about it. Rather than letting the moment pass, we collectively came up with an exciting, viable concept. There are more than 40 million school-age children in America, half of whom bring their lunch to school in a paper, plastic or vinyl bag. We have manufactured a washable, reusable cotton canvas lunch bag that comes with washable markers made of recycled, lead-free plastic. The idea is for children to help protect the Earth by reusing their lunch bag while at the same time being creative with their drawings and doodlings. We urge PTA’s across the country to bring Project Kool Lunch Bags into schools as a fundraiser and to show their support for StopGlobalWarming.org.
