Join the 1,467,305 supporters of the Stop Global Warming Virtual March, and become part of the movement to demand our leaders freeze and reduce carbon dioxide emissions now. We are all contributors to global warming and we all need to be part of the solution.

The Stop Global Warming Virtual March is a non-political effort to declare that global warming is here now and it’s time to act.
This is a movement about change, as individuals, as a country, and as a global community.

Seventh Generation

“Though our world faces many environmental threats, none are greater than the threat posed by global warming. Left unchecked, experts assure us that our emissions of heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere will cripple entire ecosystems, displace millions of people, and throw everything from our food and water supplies to our weather patterns into chaos.>

Global warming will also destroy much of the world’s profound natural beauty and irreplaceable diversity of life. It will undo creation itself and leave our children and their children to salvage what remains, like survivors of some great ecological earthquake picking through the rubble for something, anything, that might be saved. In this sense, we see the fight to reverse global warming as a spiritual matter of the highest order. How can we stand idly by while climate change unravels Earth’s living fabric and leaves future generations with a vastly diminished planet in which life as humanity has always known it is an impossibility?

The short answer is that we cannot. We must cut through the obfuscation and misdirection thrown up by those who refuse to acknowledge the reality of global warming and oppose efforts to stop it. We must urgently inform those who remain unaware of the magnitude of the crisis before us and ask them to add their voices to our chorus. And we must apply the limitless creative potential of the human mind to forge the solutions needed to secure a regenerative future.

Allowing global warming to continue unabated would represent the greatest failure of imagination in human history. The failure to imagine a better world. The failure to imagine a better way. The failure to imagine ourselves as better, smarter people. For the sake of our children (seven generations out) and indeed for the sake of all life on Earth, we refuse to accept that failure and choose instead to fight it on every front.”
