The Summit Recycling Project
- Marching Since: November 22, 2005
For decades now, warnings from scientists, climatologists, and public policy reformers have been ignored and excused away. But now the signs are
irrefutable- the planet is warming up, our climate is changing, and we are in trouble. Global warming is now a part of daily life everywhere, affecting everyone. Glaciers are disappearing, coral reefs are being damaged, wild fires are on a rampage, seas are rising and hurricanes are becoming more plentiful and powerful. Global warming is not a natural phenomenon that will run its course and self-correct. None of this will improve unless we act now. We must demand better of ourselves and our leaders.
We would like to show our leaders- and the rest of the nation- that Summit County cares and wants climate change to be stopped. Join with us in our Virtual March on Washington to do just that!
